Passengers aboard British Airways will soon access fast connectivity in the air at no cost following a major deal involving Elon Musk's satellite company.
The carrier stated that this no-cost, “fast and dependable” internet offering from Starlink will be available to customers flying economy, business, and premium cabins starting soon.
The parent company of British Airways, the airline group, confirmed it had reached an agreement involving SpaceX for providing connectivity services on more than 500 planes operated by its carriers, which also include the Irish airline, Iberia, plus the low-cost airline.
The airline stated that the implementation of the service was part of a seven billion pound “transformation” program that will deliver uninterrupted wifi service for travelers starting at the gate to landing, also when traveling across oceans or far-off locations.
Travelers may connect multiple gadgets and they will not need a separate access code.

Basic connectivity access is currently offered to British Airways passengers across the majority of their planes through the .air service.
Participants of the airline's frequent flyer program can transmit texts and plain-text correspondence in the air free of charge, whereas flyers looking to stream music, films, or content during the journey if not travelling in first class may be charged between £4.99 and twenty-one pounds ninety-nine per internet plan.
The provider maintains a network of thousands with spacecraft which is managed by Elon Musk’s SpaceX.
